Setting up payments on PlayerLands

Fri Jul 16 2021

One of the questions we get asked a lot is, when you set up a server store with PlayerLands, how do I take payments? Also, what do I have to do, and how long does it take? And how do I get my money out once I’ve sold some stuff? The answers to all those questions should be good news. Let’s take them one at a time.

How do PlayerLands stores take payments?

When you set up your store, it’s automatically integrated with payment partners all around the world, letting you accept payments via credit and debit card, or PayPal. We’ve negotiated the best rates you’ll find in the market with those providers.

What’s the process of setting up payments and how long does it take?

All those payment partners are pre-integrated with the PlayerLands platform, so actually you don’t have to do anything. Your store just works, and can be up and running and taking money in minutes, with no further work necessary. We wanted to make that side of things as easy as we possibly could, to give you time to focus on the interesting stuff - building a better game, finding more players, and making sure they’re having a good time.

How do I get my money?

PlayerLands lets you cash out your earnings, with transactions automatically added to your online wallet. Once you’ve taken some payments through your store and have built up a balance of at least £5, you’ll be able to withdraw that cash by transferring it to your bank or PayPal account.

And that’s it. You set up a store, it can start taking payments straight away, and you can cash out once your balance is over £5, all from the PlayerLands portal. We hope it feels easy and rewarding to use, and if you have any problems or any questions about that process, feel free to hop on our Discord and we’d be happy to help.
