Experienced IT engineer? Like server based PC games? Fancy using that knowledge within a fast growing games payment startup?
If so, we’d love to talk.
A bit about us. PlayerLands is a new way for people to fund their PC game servers. We let them set up secure, branded shops to sell stuff to their players. We’re starting with Minecraft, but there’s a lot more on the way very soon.
We’re a young company backed by venture capital and growing fast. This is an opportunity to get involved in PlayerLands’ formative years, and hopefully use parts of your brain that would be redundant in a more staid corporate environment. We encourage everyone to be inventive, and to use their ingenuity to help build on the success of our growing business.
We love it, and we hope that sounds good to you, too.
We’re looking for an IT Support Engineer to join our team. You’ll be providing assistance to the CTO and Customer Support, helping them fix problems, squash bugs and get past issues both internally and on behalf of PlayerLands’ customers.
Your job will be varied, and will require knowledge of the PlayerLands platform, C# and AWS, as well as a keen problem solving ability. You’ll need to apply your own skills, and also to escalate to the CTO where needed, making sure you use all the services available to you to get things moving again, quickly and with minimal fuss.
While the role is predominantly internally facing, you’ll also need to lend a hand when issues are too technical for Customer Support, providing a friendly, tech-savvy ear to customers and helping them past their problems with the platform.
